The aftermath of Cannabis Legalization for Recreational Use

Hey y'all! I hope everyone had an awesome last couple weeks and are grateful for what they got. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So the last time I talked with you all and it was still 2013. I feel like that means a little bit more for those of us who live in Colorado and Washington than to those of you who are still oppressed by the govt when it comes to bud. For those who have been living in a cave or off the reserve somewhere in Bum-F*ck U.S.A. here is the scoop.

Cannabis Prohibition no longer exists in Colorado and Washington, it is regulated but, it's now FREE! For the union as a whole, cannabis is legal for medical purposes in 22 States. I believe we're at the tipping point; the Federal government has no choice but to reschedule the "drug." Any way that's another topic altogether, SO that's 2 states that are legal for consumption for anyone 21 years old or older (recreational of course) as well as for medical purposes and 20 other states that are only Medical Marijuana states with this list growing constantly.

My first legal purchase!! :)
The hype is crazy all over the U.S. a few of my friends are curious how it is and if it's a good place to live. I tell them 'I dig it!' This place has everything a young entrepreneur minded individual would want. Great opportunity for success, money, LIFE, tons of fit people (Sexy Ladies), AWESOME FOOD, health and spiritually conscious people, outdoor activities galore and TONS OF WEED!! Literally TONS, Colorado sold over 187,000 LBS (85,000 kg) of cannabis last year!!! What!?! Yeah that's right more than 93K tons just in Colorado, LAST YEAR. ... sorry my head is still spinning a little and it's not because I'm stoned.

So here is the scoop you walk into this little shop and examine all the strains they carry and then buy what you want! SUPER EASY! They check your id at the door and then let you in line if there is one, they carry everything that a medical dispensary carries, pastries, gummies, chocolate, drinks, hash, oils, shatter, caviar...!!! FEAST ON FREEDOM MY FRIENDS!!!

FUCKING LOVE IT!!  HAPPY 2014 Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Until next time... KEEP THE ROTATION!

Struggles of getting my Red Card

What's up to all my new readers!! Hope y'all are having a good day smokin' on some good bud! ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Any way this post is about the tribulations of attaining my state Medical Marijuana License here in Denver.

I have been a resident for over a year now in this wonderful state; in a wonderful city!! I am currently researching my options here in Denver so I can get my Red Card which would give me access to all MMJ Dispensaries as well as all private events that are held here for patients and caregivers; as well as for those in the industry.

I currently have  a good social network so getting my name on the list to those private events isn't really the challenge. The real distress comes from having to deal with the underground market. Which has now moved to people just going to the dispensaries and redistributing or people growing their own medicine and selling it. To be honest I don't blame them for making a profit from this, it's costly to grow cannabis indoors but, there needs to be a line especially if you're just flipping bud from the Dispensaries. It's like Price Gauging for the fuel industry it should be regulated.

Issues range from greed to quality!!

I am a connoisseur of Cannabis and I also appreciate the medicinal benefits since I loathe taking designer drugs!! Greed creates many dramas when buying anything deemed 'illicit' by the U.S. Government or the World Government for that matter. As you can imagine all kinds of things go on when you buy "drugs" from a "dealer" versus buying medicine from a caregiver. Life is simple when people are there to help you and still can make a living. Profit isn't a bad word! Great medicine takes care, knowledge and a little experience and I'm willing to pay a little extra for the quality.

So the challenge now lies on what's the best route to take to get my license. I want an elevated plant count so I can make edibles since that's the best way to ingest Cannabis. It's better on your body all together, EDIBLES DO THE BODY GOOD! But it requires more plant matter to make so it's more costly. I can get a 12 plant count which may be good enough for now and then move to a 50 plant count, then I could have edibles for the ENTIRE year!! The problem is there are a lot of "free" evaluations here in town but you have to weigh out the incentives. Dispensaries are willing to pay for your red card if you allow them your caregiver rights for the first 4 months of having your license. What that means is they can legally grow your plants for you. Typically they offer other incentives like a free 8th every month/week or discounted ounces for "members" the gambit of incentives is ridiculous.

Regardless it comes down to weather I want to pay for my red card out of pocket or give my growing rights away for the first 4 months. I would prefer to only have to pay for cannabis for another 4 months and be growing my own versus having to pay for it [Cannabis] for another 8 months. Four months that belong to them [the dispensary] with my plants and then 4 more for the entire grow process before my first harvest. Writing it out helps me realize that giving my rights away would be the worst step to take.

Problem solved! Come out of pocket and acquire a 12 plant count! If and when I realize that I am going to need more (a higher plant count) then I will get re-evaluated. Well thanks for helping me see the most efficient use of my time and money. Hopefully this helps out some of you considering leaving the black market for your medicine. On a side note Jan. 1st recreational sales will start. I foresee a lot of unruly product lacking in taste and smell. But a good competitive market will wean out the amateurs and greedy growers!! Only time will tell I guess, I'll keep you all updated since Recreational sales are less than two weeks away!

Until next time, Enjoy your bud but, Keep the Rotation!

710 Solution and 10 minutes

Alright y'all ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Sorry I took so long to respond! I've got a lot on my plate and a diminished social life to match!

So I tested the 710 Solution from @Formula420 and it works wonders. It DOES require a little work to get your piece to look like the piece you bought. It's a good product that's pretty much all in one. You don't have to worry about adding Salt to your solution so it has a scrubbing effect, it has the crystals in the solution.

All you have to do is apply a 1:1 ratio with 710 to Water!

Put inside a plastic bag.

SHAKE-about 5 mins.

VOILA!! Clean piece!! - I like to finish with the Formula 710 wipes too, it gives the pipes a nice shine.

I try and get it absolutely clean every time but you know you get a little anxious seeing your piece come back to life!! THEN ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS SMOKE!

I use Q-Tips to clean some of the spots I can't reach. As well as a paper clip to get the back side of the carb. The paper clip is great because it's harder so you get a better scrub. It's also soft enough to shape the way you need in order to get those really hard to reach spots (spent about 5 more minutes with this.)

**Key note!! If you have "resin hit" the piece it will make it hard to clean. For any Novice smokers that means that you ran out of Bud and hit the piece without any cannabis. Thus making the resin hard and caked on the piece.

***And as promised before and after pics. I have also included a picture of the efficiency of the Formula 710 wipes by just cleaning the end of one of my pipes (bottom picture.)
