What's up to all my new readers!! Hope y'all are having a good day smokin' on some good bud! ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Any way this post is about the tribulations of attaining my state Medical Marijuana License here in Denver.
I have been a resident for over a year now in this wonderful state; in a wonderful city!! I am currently researching my options here in Denver so I can get my Red Card which would give me access to all MMJ Dispensaries as well as all private events that are held here for patients and caregivers; as well as for those in the industry.
I currently have a good social network so getting my name on the list to those private events isn't really the challenge. The real distress comes from having to deal with the underground market. Which has now moved to people just going to the dispensaries and redistributing or people growing their own medicine and selling it. To be honest I don't blame them for making a profit from this, it's costly to grow cannabis indoors but, there needs to be a line especially if you're just flipping bud from the Dispensaries. It's like Price Gauging for the fuel industry it should be regulated.
Issues range from greed to quality!!
I am a connoisseur of Cannabis and I also appreciate the medicinal benefits since I loathe taking designer drugs!! Greed creates many dramas when buying anything deemed 'illicit' by the U.S. Government or the World Government for that matter. As you can imagine all kinds of things go on when you buy "drugs" from a "dealer" versus buying medicine from a caregiver. Life is simple when people are there to help you and still can make a living. Profit isn't a bad word! Great medicine takes care, knowledge and a little experience and I'm willing to pay a little extra for the quality.
So the challenge now lies on what's the best route to take to get my license. I want an elevated plant count so I can make edibles since that's the best way to ingest Cannabis. It's better on your body all together, EDIBLES DO THE BODY GOOD! But it requires more plant matter to make so it's more costly. I can get a 12 plant count which may be good enough for now and then move to a 50 plant count, then I could have edibles for the ENTIRE year!! The problem is there are a lot of "free" evaluations here in town but you have to weigh out the incentives. Dispensaries are willing to pay for your red card if you allow them your caregiver rights for the first 4 months of having your license. What that means is they can legally grow your plants for you. Typically they offer other incentives like a free 8th every month/week or discounted ounces for "members" the gambit of incentives is ridiculous.
Regardless it comes down to weather I want to pay for my red card out of pocket or give my growing rights away for the first 4 months. I would prefer to only have to pay for cannabis for another 4 months and be growing my own versus having to pay for it [Cannabis] for another 8 months. Four months that belong to them [the dispensary] with my plants and then 4 more for the entire grow process before my first harvest. Writing it out helps me realize that giving my rights away would be the worst step to take.
Problem solved! Come out of pocket and acquire a 12 plant count! If and when I realize that I am going to need more (a higher plant count) then I will get re-evaluated. Well thanks for helping me see the most efficient use of my time and money. Hopefully this helps out some of you considering leaving the black market for your medicine. On a side note Jan. 1st recreational sales will start. I foresee a lot of unruly product lacking in taste and smell. But a good competitive market will wean out the amateurs and greedy growers!! Only time will tell I guess, I'll keep you all updated since Recreational sales are less than two weeks away!
Until next time, Enjoy your bud but, Keep the Rotation!
